No quiet season

Usually at this time of year my diary is relatively quiet and I find time to catch up on all my administration and planning. However, this year things seem to be picking up, writes Kat Mitchell.

July and August are usually the months I dedicate to sitting back and reviewing the previous year, before planning my strategy for the next 6-12 months.

However, having started the marketing arm for Brandon Consulting just before a global pandemic led to lockdowns and many putting a pause on their marketing spend, it would seem there will be no quiet season for me this year.

I have more work booked for August than I have ever seen in my consultancy career.

Copywriting bookings are particularly healthy with a good range of interesting projects coming from a variety of clients across the insurance, wealth management, and investments space.

I also have many virtual meetings booked for August to discuss kicking off projects this autumn.

Interestingly, talking to my clients and fellow marketeers this seems to be the case for many.

Hopefully this is a start of an increase in confidence, and marketing budgets will be handed back to all of our favourite marketing teams.
